Okains Bay also has good swimming and an excellent Colonial and Maori Museum. The next bay to the north is Little Akaloa, where you can have a wonderful Devonshire tea at Chorlton Hall.

Only 12 minutes away, Akaroa offers all sorts of attractions.

It has a variety of gift shops, galleries, cafes, bars and restaurants, a great museum and a modern boutique cinema.
There is also a bank, bakery, chemist, supermarket and intriguing old General Store.

A scenic harbour cruise is a must, and the chance to swim with dolphins is an exhilarating experience enjoyed by many of our guests.

Akaroa has a centrally located Information Centre where you can get advice on there is to do.
